I only use quality, professional face paints that are FDA and EU approved and specifically designed for professional face painting . The brands that I use the most are Diamond FX, Superstar and Snazaroo.
Sponges are washed at 95 degrees after each event.
Brushes are cleaned thoroughly after each event and, while working, are rinsed thoroughly and regularly in clean water .
I cannot paint anyone who is unwell or with a visible skin condition or disease, for example, Chicken Pox, Conjunctivitis, Cuts, Cold Sores or Eczema. If you believe that someone may have very sensitive skin, I can do a patch test prior to painting a face. I will, however, not be liable for any adverse reaction to paints.
I will not paint any child against their wishes although I normally get nervous children on side by chatting to them and offering to paint something on their arm first .
For private parties, I will assume that parental consent has been obtained for all the children unless stated otherwise by the host of the party.
Face Paints are recommended for children over the age of 3, however I am more than happy to paint something on their arms if they are willing.
Removal of paint can be done using water, mild soap or baby shampoo lathered up on a clean flannel or micro cloth and gently wash the face in circular motions. It is not recommended that baby wipes are used as this may cause the skin to become irritated. Also, some paints will leave a tinge to the skin which will usually fade within a day or so, namely Red, Green and Blue. I take every precaution not to get any paints on clothes but should a stain occur it is recommended to remove by soaking in cold water and washing as normal thereafter - I cannot be held liable for any stains that cannot be removed.
I also hold Public Liability Insurance.
